Within two weeks of each other, my father passed away from early-onset Alzheimers, and my son was born. I became a father and lost my father. I was holding my son late in the night when I had the realization that my father would have held me the same way in the middle of the night when I was a newborn. I felt the connection between myself, my father, and my son that continues in generations back and forward.
I make films about becoming a father and the connections between generation. I take characters and put them in a sci-fi world to externalize all the fears and challenges of becoming a parent.
I am a second year Directing Fellow at the AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE CONSERVATORY, currently in deveopment of my thesis film Black Whole, and first feature film BOUNTY.
